Concept Evaluation & Program Definition

STA works with program managers at the onset of proposed programs to help determine potential benefits, risks and costs associated with the program. STA also works with program managers to define the overall structure and reach of their programs. STA’s program definition services typically involve a multi-stage process in which STA employees, consultants and subject matter experts become involved in a series of tasks.

"Concept Evaluation & Program Definition" tasks include:
  • Conducting independent analysis of all aspects of a proposed program, including: program objectives, program budget constraints, technological and engineering risks and uncertainties, current technological constraints, and overall impact of the program

  • Conceptualizing and refining program objectives

  • Developing roadmaps that address high-risk technical challenges

  • Working alongside program managers to develop thorough and realistic program plans that enable the achievement of program goals within budget
