STA produces technology assessments of both current mainstream technologies relevant to a desired program, as well as cutting edge technologies. These assessments are based on extensive research and serve as foundation for guiding program development.

"Technology Assessments" tasks include:

• Conducting independent research of both mainstream and cutting-edge technologies that are relevant to a desired program

• Collaborating with other industry experts regarding known technologies

• Formulating reports detailing technical assessment findings

• Providing independent advice on program development in light of technology assessment findings
